CIPSH International Conference 2023

The CIPSH Tokyo Conference 2023 provides a forum to discuss issues in contemporary contexts, focusing on three main themes:
- Global/world humanities,
- Humanities and digital science & technology,
- The role of the scholarly research tradition of humanities in contemporary society.
Nine keynotes are devoted to the three main themes. Two Panels, the Special CIPSH-UNESCO Panel session on “BRIDGES” Program and the Panel session on Humanity Studies on Disagreement, Communication, and Mutual Understanding, and six Roundtables sessions, “New Techno-Humanities,” “Planetary Health Humanities,” “Reinventing Education,” “Art and Creativity,” “Reflectivity and Contemporary Humanities,” and “Exchanges of Goods, People, and Ideas,” are scheduled.

We are studying logical reasoning by employing various mehtodologies of modern logic, information science, cognitive science, and linguistics. More specifically, we have been trying to understand the basic structure of logical reasoning and the situation-dependent structure of logical judgement.
